Running a deep research report
A deep research report is your week's study done in parallel. You give it a passage; twenty-three agents go to work and hand back something you'd normally spend days assembling.
Starting a report
- Open Deep Research from the Sermons module.
- Enter a passage (for example, Romans 8:1–11) or a topic you're preaching.
- Confirm it reflects the tradition you set, then start the run.
There's nothing else to configure. The report is shaped by the tradition you chose at setup, so a Pentecostal report and a Lutheran report on the same text will emphasize different things.
What the 23 agents do
Rather than one model writing one essay, twenty-three specialized agents study the same passage at the same time. Each owns a lane — exegesis, original languages, cross-references, illustrations, historical context, theological themes, application, and more. Because they run in parallel, the depth you get is wider than any single pass could produce.
A full report — roughly 23,000 words — typically lands in about three minutes. It's a good moment to refill your coffee.
Reading the output
The report is long on purpose, so it's built to be skimmed, not read cover to cover. Use the section sidebar to jump straight to what you need:
- Heading into the original languages? Jump to that section first.
- Looking for a way in? Start with illustrations or application.
- Wrestling with a hard verse? Cross-references and historical context are one click away.
The citations are real
Every claim in the report cites an actual commentary — names you'll recognize, like Carson, Fee, Wright, Calvin, and Wesley. The engine will not invent Scripture or fabricate a citation. If something is attributed, it traces back to a real source, which means you can preach from it with confidence and follow the trail deeper when a point deserves it.
When the report is ready, you can carry its findings straight into the Sermon Writer and begin shaping your manuscript.
