— Why he’s one of the greats
Title the text, act the scene, coin a contrast, then turn late and invite twice.
Robert Madu, a Texan whose Nigerian father came to faith before moving to the United States, spent about 16 years as a traveling preacher before he and his wife Taylor started Social Dallas. He is still one of the most requested guest voices at Elevation Church, Life.Church and university chapels. His secret: he preaches like a host who is also a theologian. He reads the text, gives it a short title the room says back to a neighbor, and then gets laughs from his own kids, his birthdays or a restaurant term like “86” until everyone is leaning in. Then he backs the story up a chapter, walks the scene line by line with voices and dialogue, and coins a contrast pair people can carry home: “restrictive instead of protective,” “a contract or trust,” “a cover-up or a covering.” Late in the message he springs a second turn (“That should have been the end of my sermon”), then lands on a short testimony and a two-stage response.

What makes his style unique
“Second to my parents, he’s actually preached the second-most times out of anyone in this pulpit.”
