— Why he’s one of the greats
Anchor the message on one phrase and repeat it until it sticks.
He founded Hills Christian Life Centre in Sydney in 1983, which became Hillsong Church, and spent the 1990s-2010s building it into a global network whose annual conference trained leaders from dozens of nations. His secret: He anchors the whole message on one phrase (“More than conquerors,” “Prison to praise,” “The best is yet to come”), opens it from a single key verse, often in the Amplified Bible, and repeats it until it sticks. The movements are loosely numbered and carried by his own stories and Old Testament narratives, and every message lands in a call to respond to Jesus.

What makes his style unique
“If you can’t prove it, don’t say it. The platform is not for your opinions.”
